Isabel Aristy, born and raised in Bronx, New York. Ever since she was young, she had a creative side to her. She used to love to color, make people pictures and much more. As she got older she got more creative. She used to make her own birthday cards for her friends. In highschool, she entered a program called Virtual Enterprises. Virtual Enterprises was a virtual company. It put students in charge of certain departments such as, accounting, marketing, research, and sales.There was when she realized how much she loved advertising and graphic designing. She was in charge of the marketing department. She was in charge of putting together a catalogue for the company. She stayed extra hours, and dedicated her time into making this catalogue for the company. All her dedication and hard work payed off. In the 2004 Virtual Enterprise NYC Trade Fair, she was entered in the competition of Company's Best Catalogue. She did not win first prize but she was runner up and very shocked that she was picked as second place winner. After this catalogue that she had designed, every magazine she picked up was something that she saw herself doing. She wanted to be the person designing these books and magazines. After highschool, she decided to pursue criminal justice instead but she still felt something missing. After two years, she decided to change her major and her school. She attend New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn, New York.
From there, she took classes that enhanced her capabilities and her creativity. She took courses such as; Typography, Digital Imaging, Advertising Design, Visual Communications and much more. These classes have made her become a more unified graphic designer, and although she is still learning, she loves challenges. Besides school projects, she has done volunteer work for her church The Rock of Salvation Christian Church. She has done flyers, programs, business cards, logos, posters and much more. Isabel strives for whats best for her future, and life.
